THE WONDERFUL WALLABY

The Wallaby reflects the classic line and functional use.  

It combines comfort and good looks.  It's actually the hand-knitted version of the very popular hooded, cotton sweatshirt!  

Plus, it's unisex.

Children love the placket-type head opening.

Parents love it too because with a built-in hood and hand-warming pouch the need for the great mitten and cap hunt is eliminated!

Here in Texas, as an option, we can knit it up using cotton for a 

year-round sweater.

Classes:      3 2-hour sessions.

Dates:        March 29th,  April 12th and  April 26th.

Times:       All 3 classes will be from 1:00 to 3:30pm

Fee:           $65.00 for 3 sessions.

Pattern:     "Wonderful Wallaby" by Carol Anderson of Cottage Creations.

Sizes:         From size 2 to XXL.  

Yarn:            Description:  Worsted Weight.  Gauge:  4.5 sts/inch.

Needles:      Circular 6-24" and 8-24" (or size needed to attain Gauge).

                    DP size 6 (sleeve cuff).

                    DP size 8 (children's sleeve ) -or- Circular 8-16" (children's sleeve).

                    Circular size 8-16" (pouch) -or- Straights 8 (pouch).

Skill Level:  Cast-On, Knit, Purl and Bind-Off with competency.

                    At least one completed project is preferable but not absolutely necessary.

Comments: This project is worked in the round from the bottom up.  

                    You will find that working in the round is wonderful because it 

                          eliminates the need for seaming--and who likes to do that?!!

                    This sweater is so versatile that you can make it for yourself, your husband

                          or your grandchildren--all from the same pattern!!
